Hugh Hefner planning London casino - 31st July 2010

Playboy founder Hugh Hefner wants to expand his business empire further and open casinos in London, England, and Macao, China.

Hugh Hefner wants to open a casino in London.

The 84-year-old Playboy founder wants to further expand his business empire as he is planning to move away from "adult programming" because he doesn't feel it is the right direction to go in anymore.

He said: "We will be announcing casinos in both Macao, China, and London. As far as media goes, I think we'll be involved in more mainstream ventures.

"We already have spin-offs of 'The Girls Next Door' on the E! Channel with both Holly Madison and Kendra Wilkinson, as well as a pilot with Bridget Marquardt on A&E. We're going to be doing more of that.

"That's the direction we're moving in; we're moving away from the adult programming because it's not the future. I think it gets in the way of who we are, and who we want to be."

The media mogul believes that as time goes by, his other ventures will become more famous and even more successful than the iconic men's magazine he founded.

He explained in an interview with website The Daily Beast: "Frankly, early on, as a single title company, the strength of the brand led us into other directions. The first Playboy products - cuff links, T-shirts, and things of that kind - began in the late '50s and the first Playboy club opened in 1960.

"In their early years, the Playboy clubs were so hugely popular that the company's ability as a 'branding' vehicle became obvious.

"In the early years the magazine carried the brand while I think that, in the future, the brand will increasingly help to carry the magazine."

Rocky Slot Game Hits PartyGaming - Noble Casino

Rocky Slot Game Hits PartyGaming - Noble Casino

The new Rocky slot game has become Playtech’s most sought after title as online gaming fans flock to box as Rocky Balboa.

The great features of Playtech’s video slot have made the game one of the most popular of all time. Rocky Slots sets the pace for PartyGaming and Playtech, with Pink Panther soon to follow.

Rocky Slots traces the fortunes of the kind hearted south paw Rocky Balboa from the 1976 film starring Sylvester Stallone. The game has fast and well designed features and game play as well as a pounding soundtrack to match...this really gets the excitement and adrenaline flowing! Bonus features include a special Knockout Bonus round where players can pick Rocky’s opponents, watch a ten round boxing match and win big money.

Playtech have upped the ante with Rocky Slots as the game features more advanced graphics, better sound and more sophisticated detail than other similar games. This makes Rocky Slots an absolute knock out to play.

The spinning reels sound like a punch bag to make players feel that they are hearing Rocky train in his favourite Philadelphia gym. Players need to spell out ROCKY on the 5 reels in order to receive an instant 5x total bet payout. And if you manage to achieve this in the free spin rounds you will receive a massive 10x total bet payout!

Perhaps the more impressive feature of the Rocky Slots game from Playtech is the Knockout Bonus Round. This is where players choose from three prize fights to spar against Rocky in a ten round match – including the famous film world champion Apollo Creed. The player watches the stunning fight from a front line seat, featuring real footage from the fight scenes in the film.

During the Knockout Bonus Round players have the chance of winning up to a 30x total bet payout if Rocky manages to knock his opponent out in a fast enough time. Go Rocky!

PartyGaming also offer PartyCasino.com which offers dozens more movie and TV themed slot games, as well as other online casino games that can be played for free or played for money.

PartyGaming was established in 1997 and is listed on the London Stock Exchange.

Comic-Con News: 'Thor' And 'Amaterasu' Tapped For 'Marvel Vs. Capcom 3'?

'Thor' And 'Amaterasu' Tapped For 'Marvel Vs. Capcom 3'?

Capcom seems to have neglected to mention a couple of gods when it announced Doctor Doom, Super-Skrull, Trish from "Devil May Cry" and Chun-Li as fighters in "Marvel vs. Capcom 3" Tuesday. New purported shots from the game bearing the Marvel.com watermark do not currently appear on the site's "Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds" images page, but a message board poster claims to have acquired them via a leak.

Screenshots clearly showing Marvel's God of Thunder and Amaterasu, the Shinto sun goddess incarnation from Capcom's "Ōkami," did appear on a NeoGAF thread, and if they're fakes, they are darn good ones.

With Marvel's "Thor" movie and Capcom's "Ōkamiden" for the Nintendo DS both getting released in the coming year, it would actually be quite a shocker if neither of these characters appeared in "MvC3." Furthermore, Thor's hammer those Three Wolf God Sun shirts are already hanging around the San Diego Convention Center this week, so getting the news out now makes perfect sense.

Given Amaterasu's height (or lack thereof) it's going to be fun to see how the wolf shape fits in with the gameplay. I don't know if squat-kicks and leg sweeps are going to be necessary for getting a blow to connect, but surely a trailer will reveal all soon. (Credit: MTV)

Virgin Casino Gets The War Of The Worlds Slot Game; Virgin Bingo Gets Three More Games

*Sorry, no U.S or Australian players. See World Casino Directory

The invasion has begun! Spin now to save Mankind and win a x700 bonus!

Introduction

Jeff Wayne's Musical Version of The War of The Worlds is a 5-reel 100-line slot machine, with each reel being 4 symbols tall. In addition to a bonus round (where winnings are awarded for damaging and killing the Fighting Machines), the game features special Wild symbols which react together to fill a reel with wilds.

Step 1: Getting Started
When you load the game you will be given the option to load the Full high quality version of the game (which has all the animations and sounds) or the Reduced quality version which has fewer sounds and animations and lower quality graphics so the overall file size is smaller and quicker to download. The game functionality and payouts are exactly the same for both versions. After the version you have selected has all been loaded you will see the main screen:

Press the 'STAKE UP' and 'STAKE DOWN' buttons to choose a stake per line.

Your selected stake per line will be multiplied by 100 lines. You cannot change the number of lines in this game.

The total amount you have staked will be shown in the TOTAL STAKE box at the bottom right of the screen.

Click on the 'Paytable' button to view the paytable, which shows the potential winnings for each reel combination,

Step 2: How To Play
Press 'PLAY' to start the game (Alternatively you can press the Spacebar on your keyboard to spin).

The reels will spin and eventually stop at random.

If the combination of symbols appearing on the reels form a line (starting from the left reel) of 3, 4 or 5 matching symbols on one of the 100 win lines then you win.

Any symbols that were part of a win will be highlighted and your winnings will be credited to your account balance.

The total winnings are shown in the top right and the total number of lines that had a win are shown in the bottom left of the screen.

Fighting Machine Bonus
The Fighting Machine bonus game is a special bonus win, triggered by getting 3 BONUS symbols anywhere on the reels (this is a scatter win, so the BONUS symbols do not have to be on the same winline).

There is no line win attached to the BONUS scatter win - only entry to the bonus game, which itself guarantees a win.

When the game enters the bonus round, you will see the introduction screen showing details of the bonus game. The idea of this bonus is to shoot as many of the Fighting Machines as you can before they shoot all 3 of your cannons.

You have 3 cannons and there are 3 Fighting Machines to shoot, each of your cannons can only shoot forwards at the machine in front of it (you cannot aim left or right, you can only adjust the power by pressing the Fire button at a different time).

When the power meter is on the amount you want then press the Fire button to fire that cannon. The cannon will then be disabled for a moment while it reloads.

If you kill all 3 of the machines then you will get onto the next stage. There are 3 stages in total and you get a bonus of 500 times your total stake if you complete them all by killing all 9 Fighting Machines.

The game ends when you have no more cannons left or when you have killed all 9 machines. You will then be awarded your winnings and taken back to the main game.

Wild Symbols
The WILD symbol substitutes all other symbols except for the BONUS symbol to enhance your chances of getting a winning line.

If 2 WILD symbols are revealed on the same reel - one at the top and one at the bottom - then they will expand to change the two symbols in-between them to WILD symbols as well, and so increasing your chance of getting several wins. This expanding wild event occurs even if there are no wins created.

A row of WILD symbols on an active win line does not have any associated payout - the WILD pays only when used as a substitute for another symbol.

Auto Play
By selecting 'AUTO PLAY' you can choose to place up to 25 bets automatically, one after the other. Click 'AUTO PLAY' and select the number of automatic bets you want before clicking the 'PLAY' button to start those bets.

You can stop Auto Play from continuing onto the next spin by clicking 'STOP AUTO' (which replaces the 'AUTO PLAY' button when you are in Auto Play.

Auto Play will turn off if you get into the bonus round.

GENERAL NOTES
This game has a Return to Player of 94.7%. - System malfunction voids all pays and play.

AffClub Affiliate Program passes tough affiliate administration tests

London, 7 July 2010 - Following the approval of PartyPartners.com in January this year, a second affiliate marketing administration program in the PartyGaming group of online gambling companies has successfully passed the on-site inspection and monitoring requirements of player protection and standards body eCOGRA.

AffClub handles affiliate marketer relationships and administration for PartyGaming Plc subsidiary iGlobalMedia Entertainment Limited, which operates the websites acquired from IOG Casinos and the Tradal Group in 2007.

Nine well-established, tier one internet casino brands and one successful online poker room comprise the AffClub business portfolio.

"In keeping with the various other PartyGaming operations that eCOGRA reviews, AffClub operates in a highly professional manner and its focus on meeting the needs of affiliates within given control frameworks provides for a reliable and effective platform for affiliates and regulators alike," reports eCOGRA Compliance Manager Sean Roberts who conducted an extensive inspection and assessment of AffClub’s operations before the eCOGRA Affiliate Trust Seal was approved by the standards body.

Having successfully met the eCOGRA affiliate program standards, AffClub is now entitled to display the eCOGRA Affiliate Trust Seal, which certifies that the company observes best practice operational standards of fairness and efficiency in dealing with affiliate marketers, and is independently reviewed on a regular basis.

eCOGRA chief executive Andrew Beveridge said that among the criteria for accreditation, applicant programs for the seal must show that affiliate revenue is calculated fairly and accurately, that payments are prompt, and that there are appropriate controls in place to accurately link players to affiliates.

"Achieving accreditation such as AffClub has done requires high levels of commitment and sound administrative and business systems," he said.

Notes for editors:

About eCOGRA’s Affiliate Trust Seal:

eCOGRA is an independent, non-profit London-based standards organisation that sets online gambling standards and provides an international framework for best operational and player protection requirements, with particular emphasis on fair and responsible gambling.

Best practice standards relevant to affiliate programs have been established through an extensive international research and consultation program, targeting key areas of affiliate program activity to ensure that:

Affiliate revenue is calculated accurately and deductions are correctly allocated
Payments are completely and accurately processed
Preventative and detective controls are in place to ensure accurate and correct linking of players to affiliates
Program software applications are developed, implemented, maintained and secured in a manner representative of best practice international standards
Affiliate programs must be able to demonstrate that they can recover from a system disaster

About AffClub:

AffClub’s portfolio of brands include:
Casino Swiss
Noble Casino
Casino Las Vegas
Casino King
EnterCasino
ClubDice Casino
MagicBox Casino
Carnival Casino

Planet Hollywood Resort - Casino Sells Marilyn Monroe Boobs, by Greg Tingle - 30th June 2010

Marilyn Monroe was the world's most famous sex symbol, a title she will always carry. The blonde goddess was also the proud owner of the most gorgeous tits, a fact not missed by the powers that be at Planet Hollywood. Media Man and Gambling911 probe the most famous boobs in Hollywood for lovers of casino babes and poker babes the world over...

Punters, photographers and fans of poker her babes and casino babes are lapping it up.

A threesome set of Marilyn Monroe boob shot X-rays from a 1954 hospital visit have sold for $51,457 at the Hollywood Legends auction conducted at Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in Las Vegas. We're getting mixed reports of whether Sly Stallone, Arnie or Bruce Willis were on hand for happy snap shots, but Monroe and her delightful tits were the star attractions, with the likes of the Pink Pussycat not giving any competition.

Julien's Auctions, which sold the X-rays, estimated that they would only fetch a total of about $3,500.

Not that you hot readers will care that much, but additional Monroe-abilia that sold included a chair from her last photo shoot that went for $40,022.

The hot auction included items from other actresses, including a pair of earrings worn by Kate Winslet in Titanic that sold for $28,588 and a dress Audrey Hepburn wore when she starred opposite Fred Astaire in the musical Funny Face that fetched $64,322.

What didn't we learn today? Sex Still Sells. The smart money says it always will, cum hell or high waters broken.

The Late News

Angelina Jolie from Tomb Raider fame rumoured to play Cleopatra and Brad Pitt rumblings for the Marc Anthony role. Tomb Raider also rumored to appear at Virgin Gaming... just thought we would mention that. Love that line from the late Johnny Cash... "The Virgin's are trimming their wings"... (When The Man Comes Around). We understand at least one of the Kennedy's came ... around to party. Pun fully intended.

Movie Futures Betting Market Delayed Again, by Greg Tingle - 10th June 2010

The betting public remain excited about betting on movies via futures, while Hollywood isn't so keen. The Commodity Futures Trading Commission is fully expected to make some tough and important decisions within a a week. Media Man and Gambling911 act as director and producer with this timely update...

Federal (U.S.) regulators have postponed for a week the final decision on whether to allow a new online betting exchange to proceed to trade future box office receipts for movies.

The Commodity Futures Trading Commission extended to 14th June Monday's deadline for deciding on the proposed futures contracts re the new Trend Exchange. The delay was requested by the exchange, an agency spokesman advised.

The big Hollywood studios almost universally oppose futures trading of box-office receipts. They point to a scenario where rival studios could sabotage films by betting against them! Not a bad defence, and not a bad strategy either. Media Man and Gambling911 think a number of safeguards should be built into the proposals to prevent corruption and other untoward aspects.

The news nor the buzz isn't all bad we learned. Investor groups that put up the money (funds etc) to make films say it would help generate new capital for the movie industry, which has seen better days.

Still Marvel Entertainment, Sony Pictures and WWE Studios are going strongly most analysts agree, while a number of movie houses could be going under soon (no names to protect the innocent and guilty).

The CFTC approved the establishment of the Trend Exchange and another exchange for futures, the Cantor Futures Exchange.

A number of Aussie's in the "Gumleaf Mafia", both based in Hollywood and 'Sin City' Sydney think the movie betting exchanges will add new life, spark and even employment opportunities in the industry, but actors are reluctant to go on record citing fear it could cost them potential acting employment opportunities if they spoke out on the matter at this time.

Media Man is chasing the story and following up with the offices of DreamWorks, Marvel Entertainment, Sony Pictures, Warner Bros, as well as seeking comment from Mickey Rourke (Iron-Man 2 and Sin City), Robert De Niro (Casino), Firass Dirani (The Killer Elite and Underbelly), John "Vulcan" Seru (Resistance and Underbelly) and George Miller (Max Mad director). *Miller is understood to be putting together Max Mad 4 (but with no Mel Gibson).

Rumours persist that Australian gaming and lifestyle tycoon, James Packer (50% owner of Betfair) has an element of interest in. A Media Man spokesperson said that if Mr Packer is in fact interested in becoming pro actively involved in the movie futures business they would be interested to meet and attempt to thrash out a deal. Mr Packer is a friend and business associated of sorts with the great Shane Warne (face of controversial 888). Media Man has previously conducted b2b with 888 and has also done some media appearances with Warne poker "partner in crime" Jeff Fenech (Aussie boxing legend and trainer), so based on the 6 degrees of separation rule, it appears that one of two catch ups between the Aussie 'Gumleaf Mafia' (open to interpretation) are in order. A Media Man spokesperson did reveal that MM top brass has been in pro active negotiations with long time Warne mate and associate, Kim Illman ("ambush marketing" gun and head of Messages On Hold). Illman also has links to Packer, Crown Casino and MM some time mentor of sorts, Max Markson (Markson Sparks!), so its apparent big things are likely to be in the works and "relationship marketing" forces are in play. Media Man has previously gone on recent with their being impressed with Betfair and PartyGaming (which has a spread betting deal in place with InterTrader). PartyGaming's PartyCasino.com is acknowledged as the online casino leader when it comes to Hollywood themed online slot games, two games of which feature long time James Packer friend Tom Cruise (Mission: Impossible and Top Gun).

When quizzed more about the Australia connection to the Hollywood movie futures exchange Media Man disclosed as Packer deal would be their preference, but are open to Shane Warne and Max Markson also. When pushed further a MM director said "We want to be right in thick of the action re Hollywood betting exchange. Packer is the ideal partner, but Richard Branson is also ramping up Virgin Games and Virgin Gaming. Max Markson of Markson Sparks! is also well connected in Hollywood, and also Markson competitor of sorts, Harry M. Miller Group sports an impressive background in the arts - entertainment spectrum. The 'Gumleaf Mafia' getting more involved in ventures such as movie betting is only a natural turn of events. Paddy Power doing betting on Volcano eruptions is just the tip of the iceberg when its comes to innovative betting options. Party, Packer and Virgin all have the ability to blow Paddy Power out of the water. It's just a matter of time mate".

Star City Casino Hotbed For Aussie Casino Cheats, by Greg Tingle - 11th June 2010

Down under in Australia, land of the convicts, seems some of those criminal tendencies keep coming to the surface at land based casinos and pubs. As the "Friendly Casino War" continues between James Packer owned Crown Casino in Melbourne and Star City in Sydney, its seems apparent that Sin City's Star have more of a cheating clientele, or at least that's what the official numbers are showing. Media Man and Gambling911 put on our private detective coats and load up the plastic handcuffs and batons with this special report.

Aussie's seem to have quite the cheating casino type make up according to information obtained by Media Man. Just as compulsive gambling may be in the genes as recently reported by Gambling911, so might be cheating and straight out stealing.

The number of cheaters at Sydney's Star City Casino is alarming, and that's only the ones we know about.

Fines are being handed out left, right and centre, yet cheaters keep coming back for more. This may be linked to the face that Star City is Sydney's only land based casino, mind you, a $100 or so plane ticked will fly a punter down to Melbourne so they can try their luck at Crown Casino.

Fines issued to punters at Star are almost an every day occurrences we've learned. Cheats are trying every trick in the book, both old and new. Favorites include moving chips to winning numbers, underage teenagers showing fake IDs and banned patrons trying to worm into the casino.

Infringements at the Star volcanoed roughly 70% circa 2007-08, and this punting financial year is expected to further escalate.

Cheaters caught totals 23 mongrel mug punters.

The casino itself is not off the hook either. Tabcorp, the parent company of Star, has had its knuckles dusted by the casino regulator at least 4 times this punting year for breaches re responsible gaming requirements. Minors being located in gaming areas like slots, table games and the big wheel, are a major problem.

A source choosing to remain anonymous leaked "We understand the teens seem to like the Hollywood themed games and some of them see themselves at James Bond 007 types. Most of them also seem to know about Monopoly, Cleopatra, Queen Of The Nile, and of course poker. Gambling, gaming and poker is always in the news, the TV, the newspapers, magazines, associated with sports, so its just everywhere".

Media Man via News Limited secured figures that show that nine months to March 31 this year, 51 underage teens were busted trying to enter the casino using phony IDs.

Casino Penalties From Gaming Enforcer

20 breaches of responsible gaming rules, including:

* Teenage girl used fake ID to successfully get into the casino and busted drinking and gambling;

* Casino staff member who didn't immediately report a minor to a casino authority inspector;

* 17-year-old young bloke busted gambling on the premises; and

* 13 more kids, all aged under 14, busted in the casino area, however its understood it was accidental.

Star City's spokesman (casino) advised staff are being trained up to spot tech in fake IDs, which made up about 40% of the fines issued.

Sydney leading newspaper, The Daily Telegraph, reveled last week, there is a sophisticated operation run by teenagers that alters driver's licences for $80. It' a bit hit with teens who like casinos and exclusive clubs. Star City said the number of teens caught with fake IDs was fairly steady. They are reviewing its procedures and security staff were being trained to better identify phony cards.

A Star City spokesman "We review all breaches to see how we can improve our procedures to prevent minors gaining access to licensed areas. The numbers have remained pretty steady over the last few years but our security officers are constantly being trained to detect the latest style of fake IDs."

Daring excluded persons caught sneaking back into the casino rose significantly to 55.

Anyone busted using a fake ID is fined $110, banned persons $550 and cheats $660.

Media Man is not a legal advisory service, but recommends Do We Cheatem & How. Just kidding!

Casino lovers, young and old, please obey the law. God knows we have enough serious casino crime to cover already, without listing you by name.

The rumour mill says Tony Clifton and Andy Kaufman are considering doing some jokes about casino cheats, so if you what to make the list, you know what it entails.

In the meantime, online casinos continue to increase their safeguards, with award winning PartyCasino.com getting the gold star and browny points for its outstanding security, safeguards, service and play for free and play for money offerings. Online casinos continue to chip into the traditional gambling market, but the powers that be at Star City and Crown Casino have plans on the way to further incorporate online games. Packer, head of Crown Casino, is a 50% owner of sports betting operator Betfair, which plans to add online poker and online casino. PartyCasino.com remains a favorite with Aussies, and punters keep calling for an online Underbelly and Kerry Packer slot game, but have to make do with The Godfather, Rambo, Cleopatra, Hitman, Sinatra, Tomb Raider and Mission: Impossible and a few others for the meantime.

Punters, feel free to chip in via the Gambling911 forum, and as always, know the odds, bet with your head, not over it, and have fun.
